college majors question….?
im 17, a senior, and looking at college/universities right now. lets say i like a place because of things i see on their website, the only thing is that im into psychology and nutrition but they dont have nutrition as a major or minor. however, they do have the option of creating ur own program. does that mean that once i get there and meet with an advisor, i will be able to still include nutrition in my program?? im not sure if i want to be a child psychologist or child nutritionist, so would that program help me be either? i think its called “interdisciplinary”?

What other types of programs does/do the school(s) you are looking have. Do they offer any programs related to nutrition? I would guess that if they offer classes that fit what you are looking for you will probably be able to work them into your program. In addition, remember you will have a certain number of elective courses you may take, so even if they to not specifically fit into the degree you are looking for, you still may be able to expand your course. Another thing to consider is if you are taking classes in a city with multiple colleges, check with the college you are attending to see if classes taken elsewhere could be transferred. Example, if you want to develop an interdiciplinary degree that included nutrition but key nutrition courses are offered at the school on the other side of town, see if you could take them there and transfer the credits.
It sounds like you have already been talking with some of the universities, I would continue that approach and go back to the schools you are interested in and continue to aske questions.
Good luck.

Your important is lots extra substantial till you’re attending an Ivy league college. yet, as between the others referred to, a random lib arts degree would desire to no longer get you the appropriate activity whether its from Harvard (nevertheless you will in all threat have a much extra powerful threat at landing a writing/editor activity with a harvard english degree than one from a random state college.)

what you should do is download a copy of their course catalog. If they don’t have it on their website then call and ask them to send you one. If they don’t offer it as a major or a minor then yes that probably means they don’t have any classes for it, or at the least very few. Not enough for you to make your own course out of.
