Is SAE Institute a good school for audio engineering?
I checked out the website and they seem like a good school. I really wasn’t sure about the degree they offer you. I really dont like the fact that you wont meet alot of students in the institute.
They said it shouldnt take more that two years, I mean how much education will you get and how will it benifit me in my carrer. BY THE WAY IF I GO TO A UNIVERSITY WILL I HAVE TO TAKE A MATH COURSE such as trig,calculus.

Go to a university. There is a reason why some programs advertise on Jerry Springer, and others have difficult courseloads.
Its a tough career choice. You’re more likely to be picking up lunch for the stars of tomorrow than recording them. I know a guy who thought he was gonna be a big superstar in the recording industry, and a few years later, the guy is just jaded and unemployed. He went to one of the programs that advertises in Rolling Stone and daytime TV. Your choice.

Yeah. It’s a decent school and many reputable engineers as well as producers come outta there. But then again I’ve heard from some people it’s a complete waste of time. I think if you go to SAE, it will pay off if you apply yourself and make some connections.
