I think your essay is fantastic and to be honest I don’t see that you need to do anything to it other than this section:

“There, I learned how to write Haikus, Free Verses, Metaphors, Narratives, and Sestinas”

You don’t need to capitalize these words.

All of my life I have been a writer. Give me a pencil and words flow through my fingers to paper. Time is frozen. I am captivated, entranced, pulling words from my brain and putting my ideas to paper. My definition of utopia is a blank paper, a plot, characters, and time to linger with my notebook to see what happens next.

If you havent already, ask one of your teachers to look over the essay. They try not to change your writing style too much, usually they only point out when something is grammatically incorrect.
