Chances of getting into air force academy/naval?

I would really like to become a fighter pilot and attend either the Air force academy or the naval academy. What are my

odds of getting in with about a 3.7 gpa (averaged freshman, sophomore and junior), 4.0 junior year about a 2000 sat score,

150 hours of volunteer work (and counting), a year long extra curricular course on game programming (actual programming) class, 3 years of computer science (2 a.p), a.p. english, algebra 1, geo, algebra 2, pre calc, a private pilots license and about a year and a half of judo. I received a certificate for being in the national society of high school scholars (NSHSS) and I have been on the principles honor role every year.

I have the recommendation from my senator in the bag and a possible recommendation from a high ranking officer in the air force.

p.s.

My high school is highly ranked among the state of California and I have excellent eye sight.

For most people to get into one of the service academies it would take not only getting good grades, but also a letter of recommendation from a senator or congressman. You may want to do a bit more research on it. If I’m not mistaken that’s pretty much the only way unless you have a high ranking family member (ie General, or Admiral with some serious clout).

This is just my 2 cents. I wish you well on getting into one of the academies since for the most part they are harder to get into than some of the Ivy League schools.

You should apply, but there are no guarantees. Also, for competitive schools like the service academies, they will care more about your rank in class than your GPA. I would say your academic achievements are a little on the low side.

. Your chances are very good.

If this does not work seek an ROTC program through the Navy or Air Force. It will pay for your education as well.
