can i get into uci?
hi i am a sophmore at a high school right now and im worried about my college life. my current gpa right now is a 3.1. and i read online that you need to have a 3.5-3.6?!?!?! is it still possible if i get a 1800 on my sat?

1800 is a bit low. UCs look primarily at your grades in year 10 and 11. With a 3.1, you’d want around a 2000 SAT score to feel decently good about your chances. You have to make up for the low GPA. It’s a sliding scale. The lower your GPA, then the higher the SAT you need and vice versa.
I had a 3.19 UC GPA or something like that. I got into UCI, but I averaged over 700 on each section of the SAT.

Are you a CA state resident? If so, your chances of getting in are higher. Don’t let your GPA drop any lower and make sure your junior year course is rigorous. You’ll most likely be able to get into Irvine.

i live in irvine, but r u sure u want to go to UCI, its not that much of a great college. but your still a sophomore keep on trying and u can probably improve up to a 3.8 and get into a dif college
