Can I get into grad school?

I have about a 2.4 gpa. I have 120 hours at the school I have my BS from. I have attended two other colleges one I have a 3.2 with thirty hours and another 6 hours with a 3.5 GPA. have not taken the GRE. Would I be able to get into a masters program for education with this gpa?

Most likely… Oakland University in Michigan has an online Masters Ed Program. Not sure the criteria but a smaller university like that will be more prone to take you than a major one like a Big Ten School. Make sure you have your letter of interest proofread before sending.

Perhaps, but your options will be severely limited unless you have excellent GRE scores. Even then, graduate schools may take your college grades more seriously than HS grades to undergraduate admissions. Grades suggest a certain level of self-application while tests like the GRE just rate aptitude.

Also keep in mind that where graduate school admissions are competitive, you may have a disadvantage with your GPA – particularly with large applicant pools where the average admitted applicant tends to have a 3.0+ GPA.

You may present 3 GPA scores for the admissions officers:

1. Your college transcript GPA

2. Your combined GPA (2.59), which includes the other grades from other colleges

3. Your major GPA, which only includes grades specifically for your major.
