If you want to fly for a living get your butt into a community college with an A&P program. Even if you don’t want to be a mechanic you’ll have a viable skill to get you flight time. You can get ALL of your ratings at a local airport and save a gazillion dollars. If you want a four year degree, just finish your last two years at a state university and get a NON aviation Bachelor’s. I recommend Industrial Safety.
Airlines don’t look any more favorably on Riddle, than Purdue, Central Missouri State, Southern Illinois, or any university. They look for flight hours and skills in the simulator. Don’t listen to the “Riddle” sales pitch. How is their math better than math at a state college? How is a pilots license from Riddle any better than a local airport. ALL licenses are issued by the FAA not a college.
Save yourself some money and heartache. I have a worthless aviation degree and I paid 10 grand for it. It’s 10 grand I’ll never get back, and the degree was worthless because I didn’t get a mechanics licenses or avionics license to give it some teeth.
Been there done that.
