Can I apply to college with middle name?

I currently go by my middle name rather than my first. Most accounts, all my credit cards and my drivers license says J. Andrew Gaudet rather than Jesse A. Gaudet. I was just wondering, can I apply like J. Andrew Gaudet, rather than my given first name, or would that cause conflicting paperwork problems? Also if I can, when I apply, do I just put J. Andrew as my first name?

If I shouldn’t apply using my middle name, than how can I be sure I will be called by my middle name rather than my given name?

Apply with your full legal name. If the form asks for a middle initial, put A. for what you go by. You will be called whatever you like at school–most teachers ask students on the first day what they go by. Just tell your teachers to call you Andrew.

It is best to put Jesse Andrew Gaudet, and specify that you’d prefered to be called by your middle name (many applications have a field for a nickname or preferred name, actually!)

So your application might look like:

Name:

First: Jesse Middle: Andrew (preferred) Last: Gaudet

If I have been you, and a legal person, i might purely circulate approximately getting a legal call exchange. Make Jane your first and Sally your midsection or %. some thing else and drop it completely. otherwise, no it is not ok. furnish your delivery call and tell your prof. and acquaintances which you need for them to call you Jane.
