A major is your focus. This would probably be eled. A minor is a few classes which act as a complement., about 15 credits or so. Like early childhood. or psychology, or coaching or something.

A major is what your actual degree is in. A minor is something else you studied a whole lot. For example, my major is art studio, so I’ll be getting a BFA in art. But, my minor is business, so I’ve had to take at least twenty something credit hours of business courses.

It depends on what you want to be. Say you can elect a major in business and minor in economics.
