Both have excellent film & theater schools with impressive connections and alumni, so you really can’t go wrong. USC’s film school has a little more recognition, but UCLA’s theater school does too, so it depends if you really film or theater or both.

UCLA, being public, is far cheaper, and provides the same Ivy-League-level education. Both schools are very selective and difficult to get into.

I have a feeling that you’re not choosing a film school based on football programs (although basketball might be worth it lol). UCLA is a much better value, you’ll save about $20,000 a year. They’re about equally as difficult to get into, so the best bet is to apply to both.

In terms of prestigious alumni, Francis Ford Coppola got his MFA from UCLA’s school of Theater, Film & Television.

in terms of activities, the only one that concerns is soccer and USC is by far the winner in that classification. in case you want to characteristic different activities Basketball is going to UCLA in a shutout and baseball area is going to USC. In entire activities its close UCLA has a soft area. lecturers it relies upon at this technique. standard UCLA has an area yet specific courses USC has a sparkling area. as an occasion USC is larger in Accounting and picture incredibly. UCLA has a much better MBA software.

The best film school is probably USC. The least expensive is probably UCLA. I rather go to USC because of the football team and the notoriety. George Lucas is a USC alumni.

Go Trojans!
