What’s your GPA, if your LACC gpa is below a 3.4 you can forget about going to schools like UCLA.

The only schools in LA that offer business programs are CSULA, CSUN, USC, Loyola, CSULB and Pepperdine. In general USC will be as tough to transfer to as would be to get into UCLA, so if you don’t have a gpa at least of a 3.4 forget about getting in.

In general CSULB has a strong business program, but in my opinion if I was aiming for the best I’d go with USC, because after all they are one of the top schools in the nation for undergrad business, and with the Trojan Network you can’t go wrong. But once again your GPA matters alot. UCLA doesn’t offer business, they only offer a major called Business Economics and economics.

CSUN and CSULA end up being the 2 schools that most trasnfer students end up going to just because of convenience and because they weren’t able to get into anywhere else with their gpa. I have a friend who goes to CSUN full time and takes all her classes two days out of the week.

You could work out a situation of going to school full time and working part time. Alot of people who don’t go further on to pursue their education never end up going anywhere. And that’s primarily because they do not want to get into debt, which is one of the most stupidest excuses ever. If you’re not willing to invest time into your future, then you’ll never get a return. YOu can get a student loan that will cover the costs of tuition, personal expenses and housing. that way you can just focus on your school full time. After all it’ll only be just for two years. What’s two years of your whole life? You have plenty of time to make money after two years of college. 30k is not alot of money. What makes you think you do not qualify for financial aid. If you’re considered an independent student, what you need to do is write to every school that you apply to that your income is not going to be the same while in school, to reconsider the financial aid package that they are offering you because you do not plan on working while in school and they are bound to offer you more aid.

I’m considered a dependent student, and my parents made well over 90K one year. But that’s because my dad had worked overtime. 90K didn’t qualify me for much scholarship or grants because on paper it looked like a lot of money. So what I had my mom do is write to the financial aid department of my college to explain the situation that year we made over 90k was based on special circumstances, and then the financial aid package from my private university ended up giving me more scholarship money.
