As the saying goes “Choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life” Do what you love, not what pays the most. There is a huge difference between earning a great deal of money and being rich.

There is no disrespect meant, but I really hate when I see questions like this. I firmly believe that people should choose careers based on what they are interested in, what impassions them, or what drives them. They shouldn’t be driven by thoughts of “which job will make me the most money?”. (stepping off my soap box now)

With that said, you should look at the US Department of Labor’s Occupational Outlook Handbook. You can look up just about any job you can think of to see what it pays, what the job description is, what kind of education you will need, and it’s job outlook. It is a wonderful resource: http://www.bls.gov/oco/

There are a few job paths that will always been in demand. Health care: with the aging baby boomers needing more and more health care (not to mention the younger generations), there will never not be a need for good doctors, nurses, technicians, and other health care providers. There is a huge shortage right now, especially for nurses, so the money is pretty good; there will always be a need for law enforcement and emergency personnel (paramedics and firefighters). There is also a huge teaching shortage. And as the word is becoming more and more technical, there is a growing need for computer technicians and other technology savvy persons.

o.k. i’m going to attempt to respond to those one after the different. initially, you should understand what the adaptation between an enlisted and commissioned officer is. An enlisted member of the militia must be all and sundry (as long as they are not disqualified for any reason) they truthfully merely ought to pass to a recruiter and consult with them. Enlisted contributors of the militia can exchange into commissioned officers by way of Officer Candidate college (OCS). A Commissioned Officer (somebody who starts their militia profession as one a minimum of) is somebody who is going by way of ROTC or the militia Academies. they’re going to commence their militia profession as a 2d lieutenant or the equivalent of one. As to your first question, your marvelous Enlisted contributors of the militia commence out at E-a million pay grade and Commissioned officers commence out at an O-a million pay grade. the adaptation between ROTC and OCS is that ROTC you’re in whilst in college and you earn your degree after 4 years. OCS, on the different hand, is 14 weeks and is all approximately management progression. As for the scholar loans area, it relies upon whether you have a scholarship or no longer…consult with recruiter approximately this factor. in case you’re area of ROTC and graduate college area of ROTC you’re commissioned as a 2d Lieutenant. to respond to question 2, in case you opt to enlist interior the militia and then perhaps pass to OCS will squaddies appreciate you greater perhaps. yet, you are able to not slot in being enlisted with ROTC they’re 2 thoroughly a number of issues. Commitments after ROTC, is 8 years (nicely after your 3 or 4 years of ROTC). 4 years of energetic accountability then 4 years of Inactive waiting Reserve. Your right away energetic after ROTC. officers do no longer regularly get to go with an MOS and are not assured a particular activity. officers could be assigned to branches based off of skills, try scores, skills, and what the army desires. For something like militia Tech, you are able to request the Ordnance Corp positioned it on your, “dream sheet” according to say, interior the U. S. military yet, there are no ensures.
