Are my education goals on the right path?

Well I am 20 years old. I work full time as an administrative assitant to a president of a company. I have completed one semester with great grades at a community college in 2005 and I got offered a scholarship. Then the next semester I did horrible I failed, and I basically lost the scholarship. I didn’t attend again in the fall of 2006 but I went in Spring 2007 I did bad again. It was because I went to school full-time and worked full-time. I know this is horrible.

So now I lost all of my financial aid and I know I have to pay for school. I relize how dumb and selfish I really was but that is besides the point. I’m trying to get back on track because I know I can get the grades.

Do you think it’s a good idea to attend the community college for a semester to bring my GPA up way up! And i eventually want to transfer to a university and get my bachlors. All my friends attend great school, getting great grades. I want that too. Am I on the right path?

Absolutely! You know where you went wrong before and you are working to fix it. And it is a good idea to attend a local community college first. Make sure you sit down with an academic advisor when you go back to talk about your goals and find out what you can about transfering to a 4 yr university. Good luck to you!

Well if you cannot afford to pay on your own maybe you should attend a community college it is a lot cheaper. But you should try to get in contact with financial aid find outif you can get it back once you raise your GPA. Also most schools have dome type of repeat & cancel which means you retake your classes you failed they erase the F & give you the A you got wihich really raises your GPA. Talk to an advisor (academic councelor) at your school & see what they tell you. I wish you the best of luCk. Take care.

Your going to just plain Suck at college some semesters. Don’t let it get you down, I know the situation your in, working full-time and going to school full time is definately not easy. I would say stick to the Community College for a little while longer, and save money before you have to go to a University. Thats what I’m doing…

As for your friends going to good schools and doing great? Well good for them, but most likely theyre racking up loans like crazy. Not to mention I bet most of them aren’t even working! The experience you get from working will look good on your resume when you look for a real job. It will show that you are a hard worker for sticking to both school and work.

You are most definately on the right path, remember sometimes you will just plain do bad, everybody drops classes. Stay in school though no matter what. Good Luck! Hope I helped?

My older brother is a senior 767-three hundred Captain with over 25,000 hours flight time. He retires in slightly over five years after being an airline pilot due to the fact the age of twenty-two. He has flown DC-3s (no sh*t), a large number of rapid props just like the YS-eleven, then business jets DC-nine, DC-eight and 767-three hundred. He will transition into the Airbus A330-three hundred someday later this yr. He has a Bachelors Degree in Commercial Art. I have a Commercial Inst Lic for constant wing and rotary wing airplane. I was once a Marine Heavy Assault Helicopter Pilot (CH-53D). Marine/Navy flight trainer. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Arts. If you desire, engineering is well. But except you have got the want to be a scan pilot, no longer relatively crucial. If your want to fly is there, you’ll triumph over what math you must manage and obtain your ambitions. Good Luck. They assume a scarcity of pilots within the very close long run..
