Any undergrads whose high school was way harder than college?

As a senior, some of my upper level science courses are difficult. But the first two years were like what?

So high school is hard, college is easy, and real life is harder than high school? That doesn’t make sense.

No.. that’s not generally the way it works. I didn’t learn much of anything in my high school classes. When I got to college I had to learn everything that I SHOULD have learned in high school. I was a biology major with a minor in chemistry. I had a really hard time in college until I caught up.

I guess it all depends on your high school.

college is a joke compared to high school. ironically, it’s the private high schools, particularly the ones that send their students to top 10 universities and Ivy Leagues, that are the easiest; and those are the students who find college harder than high school.

real life isn’t very hard though, depending on how ambitious you are, and what job you end up in. I actually find work much more entertaining than school, and I know i’m not alone in feeling that way.

Well, I’m not an undergrad… I am 67 years old with a M.S. but I remember High School being a real bummer. I went to a Jesuit High School and THAT was hard.

You seem a bit confused, but lemme put it to ya like this—I made straight A’s all through school (1-12) in science, and my first semester at college,I barely made a D in Biology. And I took advanced courses in high school!

Another example? The FIRST LECTURE in my college chemistry class not only covered everything I’d learned about chemistry in high school,it EXCEEDED IT,taking me into areas I’d never even HEARD OF!

HERE’S the DEAL-high school is a BREEZE,college is a witch and real life is a big-time BIOTCH.Enjoy the easy life while it lasts!
