Am I going to be able to enroll myself in a univesity and a community college at the same time.?
I want to become a doctor.Then I would have to wait for 8 years to get a real job with my education. So I was thinking to take a 2 year program @ a community college for some medicine related course so that I could work while I study. But I just didn’t know whether it is possible to do that.

It is possible, but I would definitely not recommend it in your case especially. You see, medical school is extremely competitive to get into, and to get in you need to take the toughest courses possible and get pretty much perfect grades. If you are distracted by other things like taking another program at the same time, it could only hurt you. If you want to take these courses during the summer, fine, but it is a really bad idea to do this during the school year.

Yes, that is a great idea. I am a double major and I take my electives/minor courses at the community college and my advance courses at the university. A pharmacy tech is a perfect job for a future doctor, it will give you clinical experience (if you work in the hospital) and a better understanding of medical drugs. And! when you take Pharmacology you can breeze right through it. Just make sure to keep your GPA up and you’ll be fine.

You definitely can do this. I did it, too. I took some of the basic core classes at the community college – it was probably easier than taking them at the university, plus it was way cheaper. Just coordinate with the university folks to make sure that the CC courses you take will transfer over. Best of luck to you, and happy studying 🙂

YEs! Its called being a TRANSIENT student. I did it last summer. I wanted to go to summer school at the community college near my hometown instead of staying at my university. You should talk to someone in the register office.
