After high school, should I move to London, England or Germany?

I want to go to Oxford University in England, but, I also want to go to college in Germany. Where should I go?

Why would you even consider a random college in Germany when you have an offer from OXFORD?? I mean getting in there is practically impossible, it’s one of the most renowned universities in the world… Would you trade that in for Germany? Considering you don’t know German that well and that Oxford – the town – is an incredible, charming place that is the absolutely ideal setting for a college experience… why, WHY would you even consider “some” college in Germany??

Oxford is definitely a nice school (assuming you can get in). Do you speak German or would you have to spend a year or so getting up-to-speed with the language? If not then I’d say go to England since you will acclimate more quickly. The only problem with London is the rain but you’ll get used to it.

To me, it sounds like you’d rather just get out of the U.S. other than going to a good school (although Oxford is supposed to be top-notch). Maybe think about going to a school in the U.S. first and then studying abroad, just because majors change so often and especially since you’re just out of high school it might be difficult to live overseas so soon after moving out of the house.

If not, and you decide to go overseas anyways, then I would research both schools; Ask yourself why you want to go there, which one has a better program for your field of study, cost of living, etc. etc. In the end, go with your gut.

England, so you don’t have to learn German before you can study anything. So, it cuts your education 2 years shorter.

Go to Germany, Koln or Gottingen.

You could go to an American school and spend a summer/semester/year studying abroad. You could travel to both places, but have US financial aid/close to home/etc.
