admission to u of florida?

i applied to university of florida for fall 2008 i’m so nervous because i’m afraid i won’t get accepted right now i have 3.5 gpa and i rank 28 of 111 kids in my school and i will be getting my associate degree in behavioral science when i graduate my high school. what do yall think i will b taking the act on 27th.

It’s a toss up. They like students to be in the top 10% of the class. It depends on the application pool that applies when you do. UF is putting a freeze on the number of freshmen that they allow in due to overcrowding and budget cuts. Your chances on getting in are even worse if you come from a poor or working class family since they are cutting a lot of grants and finance aid to cover the costs of UF’s debt and budget cuts. It costs UF more money to accept a poor or working class student than a student from a richer family. That and students with rich parents can donate more to the university and they are in the midst of a large donation campaign. Of course, most of that money will not go to students or undergrads. Most of it will go to UF administrators and research departments.
