Whoever answered “Wow you need a life” comment was rude and unnecessary. Now that that’s out of the way, that happens to me just about everyday. My brain keeps track of time pretty well. I’ll be sleeping and then in my dream I will see or hear the time. then i’ll wake up and surely enough it will be that exact time. This has been going on for months with me, so I am used to it, I like making wishes anyways. I wish upon stars all the time too. If it bothers you seeing 11:11, think 11:12 in your head at random times during the time and maybe that would help. Personally I enjoy seeing it and making a wish. Good Luck, bon courage!

The reason is, because it is lucky to have the numbers all the same. For example, people make wishes at 1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44, 5:55, 11:11

I would like to know the answer to that also. For the last 2 yrs those numbers have haunted me. I can be anywhere and pick up my phone to see what time it is and it will be 11:11. Be at a store, dr’s appointment – whatever. I just happen to look at my clock at that very moment. alot of times it will be another time but always 11 after i.e. 12:11, 2:11, 6:11…something about that number. What does it mean?

Probably, not a good answer, but I guess because of superstition. Wishes are also made at 12:34. (1-2-3-4)

I don’t think there is any old story as to why.

I really dont know. Maybe one person wished at that time and somehow it came true and she/he told his/her friends and they thought it was true or soemthing and now people think that if you wish on the time 11:11 your wish will come true. Thats what i think.

Because the human nature is in constant need to feel they have possible control over their destiny.

Call me a cynic.

Because ppl are just stupid. they make wishes for stupid things like throwing penny into the water.
