Probably either leaves of plants that were safe to use, or animal skins/fur for their softness.

Since people in the stone age had no processed food and no chemicals, their poop was more like dry rabbit pellets, and they did not usually have any need to wipe.

They didn’t. It was a normal bodily function and was probably done without a thought. Man was more of an animal in those times and you don’t see dogs rushing around looking for toilet paper do you?

Their left hand. The same as the Arabs in the desert use. That is why they only eat with their right hand.

The same is true for Africans.

I would imagine leaves.

I know the romans used sponge on a stick. (a lot greener than endless amounts of toilet paper!)

My dad (when he was poor) would use newspapers.

I would like to use my local election candidate’s manifesto….
