What are the standard terminologies used in hotels?
I’ve heard people say VR, VD, VC, skipper. What do these mean? Are there any additional terms? When should the hotel staff use these?

VR- Vacant Ready, VD- vacant dirty VC- vacant clean
OOO- out of order DND- do not disturb
ARD- advanced deposit received, CXL- cancel
Walk-in- anyone who arrives without a reservation
SRP- special rate plan
There are more but they are really boring and inconsequential unless you work at a hotel.
Edit- we collect all payment at Check in so we don’t have skippers
