If we could move our legs like a hummingbird’s wings, how fast could we run?
Or would our legs just go flying off?

A humming bird flaps its wings about 50 times per second. It flaps both wings at the same time. If we could take 50 steps a seond, we would only be moving each leg 25 times per second, but that would still be impossibly fast. Probably more than 10 times as fast as you can actually move your legs.
Your speed would depend on the length of your stride, which depends on the length and strength of your legs. An old jogger like mr. perfesser covers only about 3.5 feet per step. A young sprinter can cover 7 feet per step, at least for a short period. So you could run between 175 and 350 ft per second, which would be roughly 120 to 240 mph.

We could run as fast as the hummingbird’s wings.

Hummingbirds move at the equivalent of 25mph. If we moved like they do, that’s how fast we’d run.
