My sons are in college studying for this right now. A local college here (South Carolina) offers a degree in Video Game Design. They have taken VB Net and other basic programming courses so far. I am not deep into every course they have taken, but I know you must be pretty good in math and logic and very very very detail oriented and pretty uptight about accuracy. No program will run if there is a single error, so accuracy and patience will be the key. It’s what they want to do as well, but make sure you back up your education with other things to fall back on in case you can’t get into that field. Like network security, web design, etc. But topmost in importance is make sure you LOVE what you decide to do. I have drilled that into them all their lives.
