Let’s let L be the length of the box, this is what we’re told:
The width of the box = L,
and the height of the box = (1/2)L.
Recall: The volume of a box is: Length * Width * Height,
which, in this case, is 1000cm^3. In other words,
L * L * (1/2)L = 1000
=> (1/2)L^3 = 1000
=> L^3 = 2000
=> L ~ 12.6 cm
Therefore, the length of the box is approximately 12.6cm.
In other words,
the length of the box is approximately 12.6 cm;
the width of the box is approximately 12.6 cm;
the height of the box (which is 12.6cm / 2) is approximately 6.3 cm.
