Where/How can i get a teaching English Job in Japan with no degree? YOUR HELP IS APPRECIATED <3?
Since I’m from Canada, i know i can apply for the Workers Holiday Visa.
I’ve had a couple friends who only have diplomas go teach English in Japan. They were with NOVA. NOVA is a company that is recently having some major issues, so it would be a dumb choice for me to apply there.
Any other programs such as JET ever accept applicants with only diplomas?
Yes, i know it would be much easier to just GET a degree. I LOVE to get away though and travel, and just having a 6 months – 1 year brake is something that i would love.

Simply because you speak the language doesn’t mean you would be an effective teacher. Sorry, but that’s just a fact of life. You can take courses in ESL, and get some form of certification, and there are schools in Japan that will accept non-degree teachers. They don’t, of course, pay top wages.
If you can get proper certification, you can travel anywhere and earn your way around the world. It’s a great return for a relatively short investment in time.
Think about it, and good luck whichever way you decide to go.
