However, I think you should know that there is NO shortage of teachers…that is a huge public misconception. In fact, it is quite the opposite…baby boomers are not retiring in the numbers that were originally expected and many people are switching careers and looking into teaching as a more fulfilling career and lifestyle choice.

For this reason there can be as many as 500-100 applicants applying for one teaching position.

I am not trying to scare you away here…just thought you should know the reality of the situation.
