teacher a lesson to my class?

Says to write so, do, and to on the chalkboard. point out that so has a long o but do and to don’t. Sometimes the same letter spells different sounds. Then discuss each of these expressions…

so be it, so long, so-so, so to speak, so much the better, so far so good, and so-and-so.

then have students choose an expression and write what the expression means.

How should I teach this lesson.

Reminder, these children are only in 2nd grade.

No, I don’t even fully grasp what ur saying, much less a 7 yr. old. Anyway English isn’t really even a phonetic language although it is the best way to teach/learn it.

First become literate yourself and learn how to express ideas using the written word.
