Speech and Language Therapist?

What am I majoring in? I declared my major at a junior college as child development? is this wrong?

Hi there. It depends what kind of programs are available at your j.college. Most of us studied speech pathology or communicative disorders at the B.A. or B.S. level. Your best bet is to see what university you will eventually apply to and see what courses will transfer over. Trust me, you do not want to have to repeat any of those courses. Otherwise you will have a ton of prerequisites to take *before* you’re allowed into a program. It’s also pretty competitive…so my advice would be to make sure your G.P.A. is pretty good before applying to a program. Good luck!

Your major is fine at the JC level, but should change to communicative disorders once you transfer to a university.
