Should I go get a second degree (dual) and eventually become a science teacher and soccer coach?
I have a passion for science and soccer . I want to be able to do both. I am wonder what qualifications I have to do. I live in Atlanta, GA and a friend of mine said he just got certifications by taking the second exam and all I need is a degree. I have my MIS Degree, but it sucks and its boring to me. Good degree but not for me. I always been an athelete and MIS is for desk jobs. I need a little more interactive play. So what should I do. Go back to school and get a teachers certification or a degree for sports. Or should I try and study the exit exam and coach club soccer like I was intending on doing and dont worry about getting the fitness/sports degree. I know i can easily get 3.5 gpa. And will it transfer my other credits or what? Please help

Good thinking coaches teach health as arule so get a Praxis in that as well also a certificate in Drug and Alcohol Training and Driver ED.
Best to be qualified as not, there are three things better about teaching: June July and August

Sounds like you are in the same boat as I was. I always wanted to teach science and coach football. It is defiantly worth going for the second degree…. (By the way, at my school, ALL male teachers are required to coach or assistant coach some type of sport.)
