Praxis Test: Teacher Certification?

I am told I need to take the PraxisII by Kean University.

I am looking to teach elementary school (3-5).

According to the Praxis website, the elementary school Praxis seems to be Praxis1.

What am I missing here?

In any case, how can I get a hold of the elementary textbooks so I can prepare?

Praxis 1 is the test used to admit students into a certified/accredited education program.

In my state, as an undergrad, you need to apply for admission in the School of Education at your University your 2nd or 3rd year. You just can’t start taking education classes. You need to be approved by the University in accordance with state issued guidelines. One requirement for your application is that you have passed the Praxis 1. The Praxis 1 is just a basic assessment of math skills, reading and written skills. It’s very similar to the SATs.

In Montana we don’t might desire to take the Praxis you need to be an “aide” (acceptable term is a para-educator, not aide.) there’s a para-professional try administered via academic sorting out provider (ETS) yet isn’t used in all states. The hyperlink given under as a source will take you to the para-professional try domicile internet site. i’m a para-educator and did not might desire to take a try as I do have a school diploma. My college district now calls for paras to have a minimum of two years of school. those employed until now this requirement needed to bypass a try,( i don’t understand if it replaced into this try,) with a view to maintain their positions.
