Please tell me how any of this makes sense.?

I just checked my grades for math class on line.. i am a good student in math and i get straight a’s in all of my classes… math is normally my best subjecyt.. we have a new teacher this year who tested us on out binders.. she gave a quiz like on september fourth what was sample problem number 6… dunb stupid questions that was to check if we were taking notes.. i got a 20 on this test out of a hundred because first of all there were only 5 questions so each one was worth 20 points and second of all because the things that she was teaching us are things that we have known sice 3rd grade.. im not going to take notes on something i already know.. and by he way i got a hundred on the actual math quiz.. now ive gotten all one hundreds except this one 20 and now i have a freaking 79 percent because i messed up on one BINDER test.. that doesnt even have to do with math…. how could she bring my grade down that much when the test didnt even have to do with the subject. thats ridculous.

that’s really ridiculous. did you already complain to the administration or those responsible for problems like that in school? those teachers should be fired or should not be hired in the first place!. just forget about that and prove to that teacher that you are smart and she’ll be ashamed of giving you that grade. goodluck!

If math is your best subject then you should know all of the following:

It is simple mathematics.

one test: the binder test 20/100 = 20% = fail

second test- you earned 100. now you have 120/200= 60% = D

third test 220/300 = 73% = C

most likely where you are now – 4th test – 320/400 = 80%

if you continue to be perfect you will earn an A when the 8th test arrives. this is because 720 points out of 800 will be 90 percent.

You really should have done your work.

I always have to laugh at the reasoning. Have you considered that it was ridiculous that you didn’t take the notes in the first place?

If you knew these things since 3rd grade, why did you only get 1 out of 5 correct?

It’s early in the year. Talk to your teacher; ask for ways to make up the points. It’ll work out just fine. You’re only 11-14% away from your A.
