Yes. I have some friends who are doing that right now. They have two children. They’ve taught in Alaska for a couple of years prior to that.

Absolutely. I know of 7 families with children living in Korea.

Would you be working for a private institute (hakwon)?

Choose a larger city which would have more conveniences for your family. Also consider if you want to put your children in an international school. There are international schools in Seoul, Pyeongtaek, Suwon, Daejon and Busan.

Make sure you school provides an adequate size apartment.

Are your children good with strangers? Often foreign children get stared at a lot and receive a lot of attention. Do you kids like spicy foods or have special dietary needs? While it is possible to get a lot of western foods in Korea you may not be able to buy you child’s favorite cereal or snack.

I know of 3 missionary families. They have lived in Korea for 35 years! Kids pick up languages quickly. It would be a wonderful experience for you and them.

I’m sure that it must be. I have a friend who is a foreign languauge associate teacher. He teaches French in my state and moved his wife and two children here with him.
