On a more practical level, make notes, structure your writings with a begining middle and end, don’t make assumptions and prove / justify everything
First: Your instructor might have your semester grade based
on doing research, but it depends on the course
number
Second: Some of your tests might be essay. In this case,
before you take your essay exam outline your
thoughts.

When you write your research or essay make sure you do not write in the passive using “was” or “were”. Also, do not use the word “felt”, “thought”, or “believed”. You were not around that time period so how do you know what they felt, thought, or believed? Just a pointer
It’s usually just introduction stating what you are going to discuss then a conclusion to sum it up, the whole thing supported by quotes and references.
It gets simple through time and you get to do assignments that don’t count towards your degree, etc. You’ll be fineeeee.
I just study, that’s all. That’s what I’m there for.
As for writing, just let it flow. Fix it later.
