Im going to tutor my new nieghbor?

Shes a 4th grade girl.. Needs me to go over there 3x a week for an hour a day to just help with homework and stuff.. I’m a high school senior, honors student.. is 15 bucks a day a good charge?

It depends upon your qualifications and the area in which you live. My daughter’s tutor charges $70 per hour (I live in a large suburban area), but she is highly trained and qualified to tutor high school students.

You may want to go for $15-20 per hour considering that you will be merely assisting with homework and not necessarily creating things from scratch. Elementary school homework is not very difficult either. My daughter (15) tutors our 2nd grade neighbor for $15 an hour – mostly because mom and child argue when doing homework together.

Call around to local tutoring facilities or individuals and see what the going rate is if you are still unsure.
