I would like to teach English in an IGCSE school in Egypt. What qualifications would give me the advantage?
I have already a 1st degree and I am currently studying for a Masters degree in Education (applied linguistics). I’m also TEFL qualified. I have been teaching English for 3 years.
Is this enough or should I consider embarking on the Diploma ran by Cambridge University? (advertised by British Council)

If you are dealing with people who understand what applied linguistics IS and who realize experience is more valuable than classes, you have all you will ever need to teach EFL anywhere except some university credit courses (they often require an MA). The CELTA is always useful on paper but would be rather a waste of your time and money at this point in your career. Just finish that Masters! Good luck
