The best teachers are genuinely interested in their topic. So, is there something you love to do? Teach someone else how to do it. I’m a science teacher, so I like to do fun demonstrations. Teach them how the bernoulli principal works by showing them how to make a great paper airplane. Or teach them how to estimate how many M&Ms are in a large bag if all you know if the mass of one candy and the mass of the whole bag. Just pick something that YOU like and your enthusiasm will get others interested and let the prof know that you are a good teacher.

How about teaching good manners? Find an etiquette book and take it from there. For instance, the proper way to set a table (don’t forget a centerpiece). It’s your step by step method the professor wants to see. Be sure you have it down pat so that you start at the beginning, explaining each step, and end with a finished product. You could teach how to write a check and enter it and balance your checkbook. How to use a remote control. Proper brushing of teeth. Creative ideas for entertaining a child. Explain a game and how it works.

topic – perceptions vs. reality – how do we process information

supplies – blank paper and markers

shapes you’ve drawn onto individual pieces of paper – like a Christmas tree, star, etc. *** don’t let class see these

have class break into lines of no more than 4/5 people. Go to each person that is last in line. show each of them a different shape you’ve drawn. ask this person to use their index finger and draw that shape onto the back of the person in front.

That person will in turn draw that shape onto the back of the person in front of them, and so forth. The person in front of line will then use a blank piece of paper to draw the shape they felt drawn on their back.

Kinda a twist on the game of gossip – what you start with is not always what you end up with theme.

you should teach a mini-lesson.

how about you teach about the water cycle. open up your discussion by asking, “does anyone know where water comes from?” then say, “ill tell you where it comes from!” then hand out papers that display what the cycle looks like. then explain all the steps.

^ this website can help you tremendously!

overall, you will be a HUGE success if you do the water cycle.:] then wrap up the lesson and remind your students not to waste water but to conserve it! your proffessor will LOVE that!!

good luck! + tell me if i helped!
