rotten teacher?? help me!?

i am in high school, and i have taken a language once already… last year for the first time i took french 1. Unfortunatley one of the best and most experienced teachers retired and now we are short one french teacher because there were only two.. I loved the teaher i had last year… she tought so much and i learned so well.. now that she is most experienced she will be teching honors this year when i am in french 2. So we got a new teacher who is horrible. He does not talk about relevent subject, trys to control the class by joking round with funny voices, and teches nothing in class but assigns whole chapters and test for homework.. I know everyone has different teching methods but even his techer website is sooo confusing.. One of my friends went to the dean about it and the dean talked to him and he dined all of this! we want him gone. not freshmen nor french 2 or french honors 2 like him… any advice????? basically he’s foul..

Give this person a chance! It can only be the second or third week of school! How would it be if teachers judged the students this early on? If you don’t understand something, or certain material is confusing, it is partially YOUR responsibility as a student to vocalize your own confusion. You may be surprised to learn that this person really CAN teach. Don’t jump to conclusions!

As a teacher, this guy should have respect for his students and want them to learn. The best thing is t have you parents complain to the dean/principal ASAP. He should be removed and a better replacement put in. Good Luck on your French “journey”. I had 4 years of French in High School and now I teach at the same high school as my French Teacher.

Your teacher must be a Democrat! Anyway, she shouldn’t be SO opinionated. I’m a Democrat too but I wouldn’t say something like that in front of my students (if I were a teacher and some of them had Republicans as parents)

Have your parents complain. Frankly students’ opinions are pushed aside sometimes, especially when the matter is how much work you are given and/or poor grades. But parents are a different story. Have your parents talk to the dean. That way he/she knows that this is something that is a fairly serious problem.
