Can you endure this?

I’m taking Accounting-1A in a community college after have taken Accounting101 – the princeple of Accounting.

The trouble is the Test. This 1A’s teacher , only give us 45 minutes to finish 45 question (select 1 cerrect answer from 4 ),and 5 calculate questiones, and complete a balance sheet.

I almost didn’t done!

We have almost 40 students in our room. over 20 , couldn’t get a “C”.It is not because of their ability, it’s Because

THEY CAN NOT FINISH.

I have 5 questions got wrong answer,if I have time to review ,I could get the right answers .

Is this normal ?

Is this the right way to test students?

If I got a “C”, is that my real level?

Testing time is usually the length of the class time. If the instructor is cutting your time short then report them to the department head. If your class is only 40 minutes long then they are within legal limitations and usually the final exams are longer time limits.

No it is not the normal way of testing .I agree with you that the time allocated is grossly insufficient judging from the type and the total number of questions given. Obviously the test paper was not moderated in moderation the teacher or another teacher from the same department should actually do the test to asses the difficulty level the time it takes to finish the paper and soon, The test must be reviewed if if it is too long or changes made if there are other problems.Obviously this was not done by the teacher No the result of the test is not reliable.when more than 50% of the class scored below average. Not fair to judge your performance from this result.

iI suggest thet you tell the teacher That the peper was to lengthy. She may consider that and will help her in the preparation of the next test.

Tests are designed to separate students into levels called scores or grades. If the test were easy and you were given more than enough time to finish all problems, then everyone would basically end up with a high score. So a test should be designed to show how well the principles of the subject have been mastered and how rapidly can each person apply those principles. Those who excel in both areas are therefore rewarded with high scores. Those who don’t fall further down on the performance curve.
