You can study whatever you want to! I think photography in Spain would be great because Spain has such a beautiful environment.

Are you in college now? There really is no point in studying abroad if you are not already enrolled in a US school. Were you planning on the semester? There is much that goes into this, first your school should provide you with programs and you need to ask them what will count towards your schooling/resume. I studied in Spain for a summer and took conversational Spanish and grammar along with Spanish culture. I was at the University of Salamanca and this summer plus my summer in Cuba have really added to every job interview I have had. I would definitely take a Spanish class though too, everyone wants someone that is bilingual to work for them. I guess I am confused about your question but I can give you a lot of advice.
