I’m 38 years old and I did better on the SATs than my 18 yo niece. Age doesn’t mean anything.

Community Colleges don’t normally make someone take the ACT or SATs. They do have classes there to help you get a better score on those so you can transfer to a college or university.

If they do make you take one of these standardized tests, then I am sure their requirements on scoring won’t be very high.

You will do fine though!

Take the ACT or the SAT and don’t worry until you know there is something to worry about. If you get a high enough score on one of those tests, they won’t make you take remedial courses. If you score low, you will have to take the remedial courses like Algebra and Intro. to English Comp. If they don’t accept you into a degree program, just take courses there until you have 12 credits and then apply again.

Community colleges don’ require these tests. You don’t need to “get in”. You just have to have proof of a highschool diploma, then sign up, then pay to “go” to classes at a cc.
