I want to become an exchange student and go to Ireland. Is this a good choice?
I want to become a doctor, and I want to go to Ireland because i have a REALLY close friend there that i miss a lot. What are the ups and downs to this?

You should go to Ireland! You might regret it later in life if you don’t go and experience an education there.

I think every high school or college student should experience a year abroad.
and if you have friends in Ireland, then why not kill two birds with one stone?
The only drawback I would see is that you wouldn’t be practicing your foreign language, but but you would still be experiencing a different culture.
