– Study at a library or at university, rather than in the hostel

– Study at a time of day when most hostel residents are elsewhere

– Find a quieter hostel

– Move to a student-oriented residence

I’ve found that there are some hostels which are known for being quite loud, and others which are much quieter. If another hostel is in your town, see if it offers a quieter environment. Also speak to the people at your university. They probably have a student housing department which can help you find a quieter, ideally student-oriented, residence.

Until you find a better place to live, you’ll have to go out to study.
