how to give a good speech?
Favorite Answer
It’s important that you know your speech. You should be able to give it by only looking at your notes 2 – 4 times per minutes. Remember, you don’t have to give your speech word for word as you wrote it so knowing your content is much more important then memorizing your speech word for word.
Take several deep breathes before you get up in front of the crowd and make sure you have some water handy in case you get a tickle in your throat.
Avoid filler words, “um”, “and”, “aaa” things like that.
Don’t grab the podium. Keep your hands by your side and try to make small hand gestures when appropriate to your speech.
