For anything with facts, the best thing to do is make flash cards. For example, in history, put the name of an event on the front, and then the important facts on the back. The best part is, you can carry them with you anywhere! (I tell my students even in the bathroom, even though it’s gross!)

As for a study schedule, if you devote 20 minutes to each subject a night, outside of homework time, to review what you have done for the day, look at your class notes or maybe even rewrite them–this will make studying for a test or quiz much easier. It takes practice, but just keep working at it!

For me, the BEST thing I found was to read my chapters and notes onto a mini cassette recorder. Then I could play it back repeatedly and still be doing other things. The information was going in my head even though I didn’t think i was paying attention. I was totally convinced after the first test I took using this method. I made the Dean’s List in college using this method.

for note taking:

WRITE DOWN WHATEVER THE TEACHER IS SAYING!

it gets easy after a while. i have so many notes its ridiculous. as for studying i find notecards with little cartoons on the help me. in biology to remember prokaryote and eukaryote i neamed them. Piper the petite prokaryote and earl the enormous eucaryote. it works really well.

Ok,, read your section or chapter or vocab words or whatever over and over and over and over again and it helps so much!!! Then, do an outline of everything after and you should be ready to go, but just quiz yourself to make sure
