Can I actually make money off scholarships?
What if I apply for ALOT of them, school is paid for, does the rest go in my pocket “to help with books?”

It depends on the type of scholarship.
Some scholarships are “direct,” meaning, they give you a check so you can buy “new shoes” for college or a “car for college” or a “starbucks drink” for college, etc.
However, most colleges will ONLY pay for tuition, if they go directly to your school. These CANNOT be used for anything else for tuition, and if you tuition if already paid in full, there’s nothing more these types of scholarships will do for you.
