i am considering studying in cananda. how does the education system work there?

i finish high school at 18. in cananda, would i have to go to a college then university like in the UK or do i go straight to university? i want to study medicine, specifically obstretics. is studying in cananda a better idea then studying in UK?

No, you don’t have to attend college first unless your marks are such that you need to get into an ‘easier’ college then transfer to the university. Colleges here aren’t that much different than universities; they just can’t offer certain types of degrees.

As for where to study, I don’t know how that all works. Are you planning on moving back to the UK? It might be best to have your medical degree from the UK instead of from Canada. Also, you typically have to pay double the tuition as an international student.

I’m not sure why you have an interest in studying in Canada nor do I understand why you think it would be ‘better’, so think about it a lot, contact the universities, check out their entrance requirements, etc. Don’t rely on Yahoo Answers for information as important as this.
