In the meantime, while you are preparing for college, you should be taking as many science classes as possible, such as biology, chemistry, anatomy, as many as you can fit into your schedule. And don’t take the easiest courses. Take the IB or AP level courses. You have to get really good grades all the way through high school to get accepted to a good college, and they don’t want to see easy courses on your transcript. If you aim to be a doctor, they want to know you can handle the hard ones.

Colleges invest a lot of time and effort into students, so you have to prove to them that you are worth it. I strongly recommend you improve your English skills as well, no matter where you go to college, because it seems that everybody is learning English, so it would make it easier for you to communicate with your patients. Doctors have to be extremely skilled communicators.

Some other job options you might consider: Physician’s Assistant and Nurse Practitioner.
