Best Japanese Language School in the summer? Tokyo?

Hi, Im planning on going to Japan next summer. Ive always wanted to go there, so what better way than to go to a japanese language school. I plan on going July to the end of August, so 2 months.

Im just not sure what schools is best for me. I want a school that offers morning classes, but have many trips planned! I mean where the classes get together and go on a trip (tokyo disney, tokyo tower, Mt. Fuji etc) that always have something plannedfor us.

One that is really good is GEOS Kudan institute! They are PERFECT! but its like $5000 US just for the tuition +books and stuff.. I still gotta buy a plane ticket, so thats way too expensive.

Ive seen other schools for around $2000 US, but Im not sure if they have good trips planned.

Anyway, which schools do you have experience with or recommend?

Thank you, you can also email me at [email protected]

I feel you, I am in the same shoes as you. I am going to take the “LanguBridge” program to study abroad in Japan for the summer. I am still searching for other programs to find the best price and program. But if you find anything better what I just sent. Give me an email about it. [email protected]

Through prime university there is a summer season holiday of six weeks. University semesters are April via October, and October via March. Do you talk Japanese entirely fluently? Do you write, as good as learn all 3 Japanese writing techniques? Hirigana, Katakana, and Kanji fluently? And, have you ever taken as good as handed the entire JLPT checks? If sure to ALL, nice! But, if no, then I do not understand how you might count on to be ready to fully grasp, so much much less be trained in the school room there. I’m NOT looking to be bad in any respect, I’m simply being sensible right here. As for locating host households, or methods, I have no idea wherein to let you know to begin rather than performing some web study at the area. Good success! research in Japan with out being fluent considering the fact that categories might be strictly taught in Japanese, and no approach might you also be ready to maintain up with what was once being stated,

Sophia University has a good reputation regarding their Japanese courses and the campus (as well as some housing opportunities) are in Central Tokyo.

The price for the summer session is not high at all but since it’s a summer session in asian studies, there are only few pure language courses but if you want to additionally take courses related to Japan as well as Japanese Language, you might be interested. They also plan a couple of trips.

If you are looking to study and live in Japan for 2 months, go traveling and take trips, you need to expect to spend at least $5,000. I have lived in Japan for 8 years, and I know that what you are asking for is going to be expensive. If you like the GEOS course, take it. If you need something cheaper, look outside of Tokyo and more in the countryside.

Many colleges and universities have summer courses, but their summer breaks are not the same as in the US. My university (work) is August-Sept for summer break.

I know that you can find something if you really research it. Also, you may find a good school but have to make your own plans for sightseeing and trips. If you put your time in with planning, you can get all you want, but if Tokyo is your dream, prepare to pay a lot. (personally, I hate Tokyo; huge, no character, confusing to get around in and too much like any other huge city in the world. Kyoto is my favorite.)

Good Luck!

In Tokyo, Keio, Tokyo and Sophia Universities have great reputations.

I loved living in the Kansai region, so I suggest going to the Kansai Time Out (KTO) website to find other language schools. They’ll be in the ad section.

Berlitz may have a summer special.

Gambatte!
