What level mathematics SAT II subject test should I take?

I’m using the scores to apply to MIT. I have taken Geometry, Algebra I and II, FST (functions, statistics, and trigonometry), and am currently enrolled in AP Calculus. All of these classes were honors (except AP Calculus, of course).

For a school like MIT, you have no option but to take the Level 2. The level 2 goes all the way up to Trig, and if you know some calculus, then there is no reason to be worried about it. For me and a couple of my peers that knew Calculus going into the Math Level 2, we didn’t even use Trig to solve the problems…we used Basic Algebra and Calculus, and we all found the test to be a breeze. I got a 720. But yeah, MIT I think only accepts the Level 2. Well, put it this way…for any top Engineering school in the country, you HAVE to take the Level 2.

Take Math Level II.

Most schools that specialize in science really like the Level II.

I made the mistake of taking the SAT II Math Level I because I thought it would be easier…WRONG! The Level I test had a lot of archaic geometry rules that I forgot, so I didn’t do that well. I’m positive I would have got a higher score on the Level IIs.
