You should be studying and focusing on your weakest subject(s). Remember this basically determines what colleges you will be able to attend so take it seriously. If you don’t like the score your first time you should retake it because taking it a second time, you’ll know what you really need help on and can use the time in between tests to study good luck! I’m taking it for the second time in Nov.

Get a PSAT test prep book or CD-Rom out of your local library. Do at least one practice test to see what your score is and to become familiar with the exam rules. The exam rules will not change, so once you’ve read them in the test prep book, you won’t need to read them when taking the test. This gives you an advantage over the other kids who did not prepare for the test.

Focus on the section that gave you the most trouble. For example, if you scored lower in math and you missed a higher percentage of geometry questions than algebra questions, you would want to review geometry. If you missed a lot of vocabulary words, it may be too hard to master this area in the last two weeks, but you could review greek and latin roots.
