I did ok on the SAT, but I did horrible on the SAT II Biology. Will it hurt my chances of admission a lot ?

I took the SAT reasoning test 2 times, first got 1650 and second time got 1820. For the second test I got 1260 on just verbal and math combined. However, I noticed that I cannot get the score choice option for SAT II Biology that I took. My score was below 500. It is extremely low. However, I generally maintained 3.75 – 4.0 GPAs throughout high school. I am really afraid that the SAT II that I took in freshmen year will really hurt the chances of getting into schools. I am not applying for any Ivy Leagues, but state/regional schools like Penn State University park and Temple University. Will the SAT I scores cover up for the bad SAT II score, or will the SAT II score ruin my chances of getting into those colleges?

For schools like Penn State and Temple the 1820 is very good. Remember that generally the SAT’s are much, much more important the the Subject Tests. The 1820 will more than cover up your low bio score. Put it this way, colleges don’t care half as much about your subject test score than they do your actual SAT score. It’s just another requirement….and your GPA will also make up for any questions that those colleges may have about you. At this point, the only way that it could hurt you would be if you were to apply as a Bio major, in which case you should probably retake it again or take some other exams.

If you’re an A pupil , you will have to no longer ought to fear approximately the examination. If you will have a nasty day, it’s not the tip of the sector. There are three extra years to move, and tons extra checks to go. Take it, if for no different cause than to emerge as a greater scan-taker. Many of the questions deliver you the reply if you happen to simply learn forward a bit of. You can as a rule do away with part of the offerings on a more than one-option. Then pass along with your first bet if you do not keep in mind. Statistically , it’s extra typically right.

Just assure them (or pretend that) you’re an anti-American liberal and they should let you in.
